Our Lady's Special Science / Secondary School Nnobi was established in 1958. It was founded when there arose a serious need to decongest the populated CKC Onitsha, hence students who passed CKC is admitted straight to Our Lady's as a sister Campus. It began primarily as a boarding school for boys only. Founded by the Roman Catholic Church during the visit of Rev. Fr. Greoetis to Nnobi, she has, as her Pioneer Principal, Rev. Fr. Ohdenahoe who with the pioneer students then, laboured vigorously to set up the structures (the Present Junior Academic Block, Library and Junior Staff Room Block, the present school hall, the kitchen and the present girls hostel) and set our noble institution on the part of greatness for which she has become a reference point for years now. Nine years into her nascent life, the activities of this citadel of learning was interrupted by the Nigeria/Biafra Civil War. This historic event brought a turning point in the life and mission of the school.
